This grassroots festival was built from the ground up, fueled by our love of craft beer and the desire to make a difference here in our hometown of Campbell River, BC.
We live, work, and play right here in Campbell River. Through our roles as middle school teachers, we’re constantly inspired by the strength and spirit of this community. We wanted to create something that not only brings folks together but also puts Campbell River on the map. Our idea was simple: give people a reason to come, stay, and enjoy the city—and raise a glass to the hard work that keeps this town thriving.
With family ties that run deep in Campbell River, including a longstanding connection with the Campbell River Community Foundation, we saw this festival as a social way to invest in our community. It’s been an adventure, but it’s one we’re grateful to share with so many others who believe in the same things we do: good beer, good people, and giving back to a place we’re proud to call home.
To hear more about how we got started, you can check out our article in the Strathcona Collective Magazine, or listen in on Episode 16 of the Campbell River Economic Development podcast, where we talk about our journey and what we hope to bring to Campbell River year after year. Thanks for being a part of it. We look forward to seeing you at the next festival—let’s raise a glass to Campbell River!
